CHRISTMAS ARTLY

I work in retail so perhaps that's why I start dreaming about Christmas so early. We are already getting the store ready for Christmas, I've been pinning Christmas things on Pinterest for weeks and some times I go into hiding on my Spotify account and listen to Christmas music. Yes - I've got it bad.

So today I wanted to share my December project from last year which I very much expect to repeat this year.
I made these daily postcards. Some were about Christmas - others about whatever had happened that day. I really love looking back on these almost a year later because no matter how little text is on them they all remind of specific situations. It's like a visual journal.
So yes I am definitely going to repeat the project this year and I think I'm going to keep it much the same style.

Of course what's really different from last year is that I've spend so much time drawing this year that I'll incorporate that a lot more.
The only thing I did draw last year was the traffic light above and the lady on the far right. Just look at her sad little face. So with all the new I've learned this year I'm looking forward to returning to this project and see what December will bring this year.

This post will be linked up to Paint Party Friday, Art Journal Every Day and Kim Dellow's Show your face.

  4. I love what you have created on these cards. You have inspired me to try to do this with text too. So many poignant events happen and we forget so much of what happens to us day to day. My heart was particularly touched by the figure on the bench 'still waiting'. xx
