It's been another week where I've used a lot of dark oil paint. A few sketches and a lot of drama. I got some inspiration from the artist Rafal Olbinski but it was only inspiration to get me started as the finished pieces has little to do with his amazing creations.
And apparently I'm not over my skull phase either. It started with inspiration from the Danish Eurovision song 'Soldiers of Love' - but I'm not sure how it ended up like this.

Anyway today is the first day of a week long vacation. They are saying the weather is going to be horrible so I think there'll be plenty of time to create stuff this coming week. So I should have much to share next Friday.

  1. I have no idea how I've never seen your blog before - just came over by way of Paint Party Friday - I love your work and am trying to figure out if it is all digital or how you do it as it is really beautiful - I especially love the skulls.
I've just had a wee laugh at the about you section as well - Bridget Jones is one of my all time favourite movies and I can't wait until the next one comes out later this year. I love the story behind how your blog got its name too.

    1. It is in fact all digital - but I'm using a software that allows me to create like it had been done with real paint and paper. It's called ArtRage and for a neat freak like me it's a lifesaver :)

  4. I really love that first painting. I'm not into skulls and death so I can't appropriately appreciate your skull painting, but the colors are beautiful.
